Minor league organizations are notorious for coming up with some pretty ridiculous promotions in order to get people into the stadium. From ‘Charlie Sheen Night’ in Bakersfield to ‘Dick Cheney Hunting Vest Night’ in Las Vegas, we thought we had seen it all when it comes to gimmicks, but the Toledo Walleyes and Kalamazoo K-Wings of the ECHL have taken it to another level.
When the two teams face off against each other on Saturday night they will be wearing Star Wars themed jerseys.
Toledo will be wearing the Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing fighter uniform while Kalamazoo will be representing Darth Vader.
Oh minor league hockey, you never disappoint.
